With their most physically demanding practices of the game week in the books, today the Trojans are transitioning into the mentally sharpening aspect of preparation for Saturday's season opener.
That means kickoff -- yes, the start of the 2009 season -- is just around the corner.
"Can you guys believe it's Thursday?" Coach Carroll exclaimed during this afternoon's team meeting, with excitement oozing from his voice. "It's finally here; the weekend is underway. This is awesome!"
