USC wideout Spencer Vigoren and Ohio State's Grant Schwartz have a special bond.
Vigoren, a redshirt junior, used to catch passes from Schwartz when the two were at Dana Hills High in south Orange County, with Schwartz blossoming into a stellar dual-threat quarterback and Vigoren impressing enough at receiver to earn a walk-on spot on the USC roster. Schwartz is now in his redshirt junior year as a scholarship receiver for the Buckeyes.
But that's not the only connection the Trojans have with Schwartz, whose dad Brian was a senior safety for Ohio State in 1979 when Coach Carroll was the Buckeyes secondary coach.
