- On a toasty afternoon, the Trojans accomplished exactly what they needed to accomplish on this day, as the offense and defense were both sharp in a short, yet highly productive practice just before departing for LAX and their trip to Ohio State.
- USC was in full-on game mode Thursday, with coaches signaling all calls into the quarterbacks and wrist bands containing all the plays being used.
- Tight end Anthony McCoy had the play of the day when he snagged a Matt Barkley pass with one hand during team period.
- Besides crisp performances by the offense and defense, the special teams also got extended reps, as is the norm for Thursday practices.
