Welcome to the new-look USCTrojans.com!
This latest redesign features a number of improvements, including a new drop-down navigation menu with quick links to individual sports, blogs, Trojans All-Access, tickets, merchandise and development-related items, plus special fan and recruit areas. There also are icons to connect to USC-related social networks on Twitter and Facebook.
Additionally, the access to video for Trojans All-Access subscribers is now just one click away.
Along with the new redesign comes some new original programming on Trojans All-Access, beginning this fall. The lineup, which will also feature carryovers of popular series from last season, will include:
--"Flashback," a recap of the previous week's football game, with behind-the-scenes lockerroom footage and coverage of the post-game press conference with head coach Pete Carroll and his players.
--"Project Trojan," a documentary-style show that captures what it takes to make and play for one of the nation's premiere college football teams. "Project Trojan: The Making of the 2009 Football Team," which began this past spring, will continue into fall camp, then will segue into "Project Trojan: Defining the 2009 Season." Every other week, viewers will watch what the players experience as they first prove they have what it takes to be part of the 2009 Trojans, then as they compete for an eighth straight Pac-10 title.
--"SC Classics," which takes viewers back in time from the 1930s to the Pete Carroll era, revisiting classic football games through replays and features with original footage.
--"Playmakers," which spotlights special stories about the athletes and coaches from all 19 of USC's teams.
--"Trojans Unplugged," which presents an unfiltered, raw look inside the make-up of Troy's teams and athletes.
--"On The Clock," a 60-second featurette where players and coaches from all of the Trojan sports answer a series of thought-provoking questions.
--"Trojan Fever," which takes viewers inside the Galen Center for an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the USC men's and women's basketball programs and their new head coaches Kevin O'Neill and Michael Cooper.
"This is a really exciting transition for our website," said USC athletic director Mike Garrett. "We've put in many hours to update and modernize USCTrojans.com. We think it is the best, most complete college athletic site in the country, offering fans highly-original programming and comprehensive information, as well as exclusive access to our sports teams, athletes and coaches."
USCTrojans.com also will continue to feature live game broadcasts and stat trackers. Nearly all of USC's home sporting events are streamed live. Most home and road football, basketball and other games that are aired live on commercial or cable television networks, and thereby protected contractually from live coverage elsewhere, are replayed upon their conclusion on the site's Trojans All-Access platform.
Also featured are daily post-practice video reports, live coverage of Carroll's Tuesday press conferences and coverage of breaking news pertaining to Trojan athletics. All programming is archived for later viewing.
