The general consensus among the Trojans is that Thursday's movie night was great.
Both in terms of the movie -- and the night off from meetings.
"District 9" earned several rave reviews for its entertainment value and for it simply being something different than another night of film sessions.
It's all part of Coach Carroll's carefully planned formula for camp. In previous years, the Trojans have seen newly released movies, gone to an amusement park or attended a beach volleyball tournament.
"We like doing things like that to make it fun and keep the guys mentally fresh," Carroll said. "It gives them a way to relax during the long days of camp."
The movie night also gave several associated with the program a much-needed night off. Many assistant coaches and supporter staffers got to go home early to see their families instead of working deep into the night.
