And the emphasis is definitely on "completely."
The coaches make the most of the time during camp by installing plays and practicing for almost every imaginable situation they could encounter in a football game. The practices are scripted out so each scenario can be reviewed at least once during training camp, with many of them appearing routinely throughout the month. Take a look at the plethora of situations the Trojans review during Fall Camp:
- Blitz
- 1st and 10
- 2nd and 7
- 3rd down
- Red zone
- Fringe (50- to 30-yard line going in)
- Backed-up against the goal line
- Goal line and short yardage
- 2-minute drill
- 4-minute offense (running the clock out at the end of a half)
- Hail Mary
- Sudden change (offense tries to score after a turnover and the defense tries to get the stop on a short field)
- Two-point plays
- Overtime
