Today's 3 p.m. scrimmage is not only important because it's the final scrimmage of Fall Camp, but also because it's the last chance for the first-unit offense and defense to face each other in a game-like scenario.
The top units will battle during this afternoon's scrimmage on Howard Jones Field for one final time before next week's mock game at the Coliseum features the first-unit offense and defense facing their scout-team counterparts in anticipation of the San Jose State game the following weekend.
"It's an important day for us," Carroll said.
