The Trojans are arriving to the dorms wearing everything from USC gear, preppy street clothes or the just-out-of-bed sweatpants and T-shirt ensemble.
Offensive lineman Nick Howell decided to pass on all of the above and stick with something a little more natural.
Howell, a senior expected to compete for a starting spot on the line, showed up shirtless to dorm check-in this morning, wearing just sweatpants and flip-flops while carrying all his clothes and bedding.
Why did he elect to go for the rugged caveman style?
"It's hot out," Howell said matter-of-factly.
