Kicker Joe Houston and tight end Ian Wandler go way back.
Way, way back.
The two redshirt juniors played together for three seasons at Mira Costa High in Manhattan Beach in 2003-05 and then a season at El Camino Junior College in 2006 before being reunited this fall at USC. Houston, who's competing for the starting placekicker spot, transferred in before the 2007 season, while the 6-4, 270-pound Wandler arrived at USC last week.
