The 2009 campaign starts today.
All the coaches have returned to the office for the first time since June 30, ending a 35-day vacation and officially kicking off the long haul that is the season.
And what a long, tireless haul it is. Other than an occasional morning off and a few days' break around Christmastime, the coaches won't have time off until January, a stretch of five months of seemingly endless work that pushes them through 12 games and a bowl.
And it all begins this morning, with coaches currently in offensive and defensive meetings before convening as an entire staff at 10 a.m.
