During Fall Camp, the Trojans eat three buffet meals a day in the athletic department-run Galen Cafeteria, gorging on a smorgasbord of foods that provide them with the fuel to get through the long days in August.
Breakfasts consist of pancakes, French toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit and pastries. Lunches and dinners feature veggies, rice, potatoes, chicken, beef, pork, fish, pizza, a sandwich bar, a salad bar, fresh fruit and desserts. All in all, it's a veritable feast every meal for the 16 straight days of camp.
With 105 players and around 80 football support staffers, training camp is a challenging time for the Galen Cafeteria workers. They make an estimated 8,550 meals during the 16-day Fall Camp, with many of the workers logging hours that rival the coaches' schedules.
