A few players are taking that tenet to heart this morning, as 10 players have already checked into the dorm -- 20 minutes before check-in has even begun.
The first to move in? Offensive lineman Mike Reardon got the nod at slightly before 8 a.m., though fellow lineman Jeff Byers was competing for the crown with the judges (USC's administrative staffers).
As they say around here, "always compete" -- even to be first in line at training camp check-in.
