The players' practice attire even does so too.
To help the quarterbacks find their receivers among defenders, the offense always wears in practice the same color jersey the team will wear in the next game. So, with the next contest being at the Coliseum and the Trojans slated to wear their cardinal jerseys against the Spartans, the USC offense is in cardinal practice jerseys during Fall Camp 2009 and the defense is in white.
The defense (left) wears white and the offense wears cardinal throughout Fall Camp and leading up to the season opener against San Jose State. It's all part of the exact science of preparation for the Trojans.
