The Trojans have entered into preparations for this afternoon's practice, the first of the fall and the first time since April that the players and coaches have been on the same football field.
With a ball, that is.
This morning's football-less workout got the juices flowing, but the Trojans are itching to retake the field with the most necessary piece of equipment once again.
"College football?" Coach Carroll said of the morning walk-thru during this afternoon's staff meeting. "It was more like college no football!"
Offensive line coach Pat Ruel had a joke of his own in response.
"There were no turnovers this morning!" Ruel said to Carroll.
"Yeah, 100 percent completion rate too," Carroll shot back.
The first practice of the fall -- including a football (imagine that) -- is just an hour away.
