Check out the standout individual performances during Sunday's scrimmage:
- Tailback Curtis McNeal had a special performance Sunday, running five times for a team-high 48 yards and scoring the final touchdown of the day on a barreling six-yard run.
- Tailback Stafon Johnson had a 26-yard run and 41 rushing yards total.
- Defensive linemen Armond Armstead and Averell Spicer combined to sack the quarterback on a fourth-down conversion attempt.
- Garrett Green threw a six-yard touchdown to wideout David Ausberry on a slant route in the end zone.
- Safety Josh Pinkard made one of the most clutch plays of the day when he tackled tailback Stafon Johnson at the line of scrimmage on 3rd-and-inches near the goal line.
- Cornerback Kevin Thomas soared up to intercept a short pass into the end zone and returned it 56 yards before being pushed out by Matt Barkley. Also, Thomas and safety Shane Horton tied for the most tackles with five.
- David Ausberry made a spectacular grab when he jumped over the cornerback and tipped the ball to himself for a 19-yard catch along the right sideline.
- In a two-minute drill simulation near the end of practice Aaron Corp went 6-of-8 and led the offense to the 10-yard line, but the field goal attempt was wide left. Corp was 8-for-13 for 70 yards on the day.
- Fullback Stanley Havili had a 15-yard run that was aided by the downfield blocking of Matt Barkley.
