Like they do for every scrimmage and game, the offensive coaches scripted the first 18 plays of the day and then presented the slate of calls to the offensive players during meetings this morning.
One major change though -- the offense will be starting on Play No. 10 instead of 1, and for one good, funny reason.
Because the offensive and defensive coaches share meeting rooms, a printer and computers, the defense probably already knows what the script is. So assistant head coach for the offense Jeremy Bates is switching things up to keep his counterparts guessing -- and to make today's scrimmage even more game-like.
"I don't trust those guys," Bates joked during the offense's meeting this morning. "It's like sleeping with the enemy."
