Boston College, the fourth place team in the ACC with a 5-3 conference record and 8-4 overall mark, will be making its second appearance in the Emerald Bowl and 11th consecutive bowl appearance dating back to 1999. BC is 8-1 in bowl games this decade.??
The Eagles are led by quarterback Dave Shinskie, a 25-year-old freshman who just completed a seven-year minor league baseball career. Coach Frank Spaziani is in his first year as head man but 13th overall in the Eagles program.
