Junior Marcus Simmons made his name known last March when he emerged as the Trojans' go to defender during their improbable run to the Pac-10 Tournament title. This year, however, Simmons is in position to be more than just a role player for USC. In the season opener he scored a career high 18 points and was instrumental during a second half run that secured the Trojans' victory.
