Coach Carroll has never been so happy to be at zero.
After compiling four takeaways and giving up only one turnover in Saturday's win at Arizona State, the Trojans are now at a zero turnover margin on the season. While it's nowhere near the plus-18 through plus-21 margins the Trojans had in 2002-05, it's a marked upswing in what had been a minus-3 turnover ratio in 2009 prior to Saturday.
Also in light of Saturday's turnover uptick, USC has now won 51 consecutive games when recording more takeaways than giveaways, dating all the way back to the 30-27 overtime loss at Washington State in early 2002.
