Two representatives from the League office spoke to the players during an informative meeting in Heritage Auditorium this afternoon, giving the athletes a fuller understanding of life as a professional. The hour-long session is part of a unique partnership between USC and the NFL that brought Chris Henry, the League's director of player development, and Troy Vincent, a 15-year NFL veteran, to Heritage Hall for an enlightening talk and Q&A about the challenges and facts of playing and living at the next level.
"It's a proactive way of educating our players about the life skills needed in the NFL," said senior associate athletic director Mark Jackson, who helped organize the event.
