As much of the country prepares for a few days off, it's quite the opposite at USC, where things are essentially business as usual for the Trojans through the Thanksgiving holiday.
After all, it's still a game week, and as masters of routine, the Trojans will carry on almost as normal. Its schedule bumped up five hours from the typical Thursday routine, the team will convene on Thanksgiving for meetings at 9 a.m. and then practice at 11 a.m., which will give players and coaches much of the afternoon and evening off to celebrate the holiday with their families. And to make the brief break a little sweeter, the team doesn't have to report back until 1 p.m. on Friday.
The earlier schedule on Thursday will only affect the coaches, who will have a few hours less than usual to prep for practice. But the bye last week allowed coaches to get a head start and prepare for the abbreviated agenda on Thanksgiving, so the adjustment shouldn't disturb them too much.
