With Denny's omelets as breakfast, the coaching staff is entrenched in the weekly recruiting meeting in the War Room, where they're poring over film and discussing prospects for the Class of 2010. This morning's meeting carries a little extra weight because of the bye, since coaches will be hitting the recruiting trail all weekend.
"We've got to compete," Coach Carroll said during the meeting. "We've got to compete our tails off with this stuff."
The pressure is rising, as Signing Day is less than three months away.
