One part of this weekend's defeat is not up for debate among the coaches and players -- the Trojans competed hard and remained unified even in the face of essentially insurmountable scores at the Coliseum on Saturday.
"You played really hard, you stayed together -- that's the truth," Coach Carroll told the players this afternoon. "We did not lose this game because we didn't try hard."
