The Trojans just broke from the team portion of Tell the Truth Monday meetings, and Coach Carroll turned into a stand-up comedian during one part of the gathering.
"We went to the desert and got well," Carroll quipped, referring to the bounce-back win at Arizona State on Saturday.
But after the jokes were over, Carroll returned to his full-time role of football coach and sharpened the focus toward the next opportunity -- a matchup against Stanford on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
"What we did doesn't mean a thing now," Carroll told the players. "We have to come back and do it again."
