Coach Carroll stands on the armrests of the chairs in Heritage Auditorium to get his players' attention during the traditionally wild opening portion of this afternoon's meetings. The Trojans have officially transitioned into the "mental phase of preparation," as coaches say every Friday afternoon, with numerous meetings and a short walk-thru remaining before kickoff tomorrow night.
