Day 2 of practiced started only 10 hours after day 1 finished last night, but the team still looked fresh and ready to go. Coach O'Neill installed his pick + roll defensive schemes, some new offensive plays, and baseline out of bounds plays to start.

After a short warm up with strength and conditioning coach Brent Metz, they got right into their fast paced full court 5 man weave. 3 on 3 and 4 on 4 drills followed that emphasized cross screen + down screen strategies along with a nipple + chute drill (2 men at the free throw line extended and 2 men and the lane lines extended). Then they practiced their scrambling defense with a 5 on 4 full court drill. This lead into a 5 on 5 drill where they went of their 3 out 2 in offense.

The team got a 10 minute break to catch a breather and then returned to the floor to put in 2 more offensive plays and then scrimmage the rest of practice by running through their new plays in a live 5 on 5 situation.

The Trojans return to the court tomorrow morning at 8:30am to finish their third consecutive day of practice before taking an off day on Monday. Practice will be held in the Galen Center Practice Pavilion tomorrow morning and is once again open to the public.
