- Total defense: 2nd in Pac-10, 9th nationally. The defense has allowed 260 yards per game.
- Punt return average: 1st in Pac-10, 14th nationally. The combination of Damian Williams and Joe McKnight has averaged 15.7 yards per return.
- Pass efficiency: 2nd in Pac-10, 25th nationally. The quarterbacks have combined to produce an efficiency rating of 144.9.
- Opponent's third-down conversion: 2nd in Pac-10, 16th nationally. The defense has only allowed the opponent to convert 30.4% of third-down tries.
- Sacks: 1st in Pac-10, 1st nationally. The Trojan defense has accumulated 26 sacks this season, 8 more than the next best team in the Pac-10.
- Red zone offense: 3rd in Pac-10, 25th nationally. The Trojans have scored 21 times out of 24 trips to the red zone.
- Red zone defense: 3rd in Pac-10, 14th nationally. The defense has only allowed the opponent to score 6 touchdowns in 17 red zone trips.
- Matt Barkley leads the conference in passing yards per game, with 267.6 yards per game. He also ranks third in the conference in passer efficiency, with a rating of 150.7. Barkley ranks second in the conference in total offense behind Jake Locker.
- Damian Williams leads the conference in punt return average, with an average return of 15.5 yards. He also ranks third in the conference with 77.8 receiving yards per game.
- Nick Perry and Everson Griffen lead the conference with 7 sacks each so far this season. They also rank 4th nationally.
