Check out what happened in Trojan athletics during the past seven days:
- Men's water polo defeated Long Beach State, 9-4, on Saturday. The Trojans are currently ranked No. 1 nationally and are undefeated in conference play. The team will host Loyola Marymount on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
- The women's soccer team lost at Stanford on Friday to end its nine-game win streak, but the Women of Troy then rebounded with a 3-2 overtime win over California on Sunday. They are currently ranked ninth in the national rankings and get set to host Oregon State and Oregon this weekend at McAlister Field.
- Women's volleyball lost at both Washington State and Washington this past weekend. The 16th-ranked Women of Troy will host Oregon State and Oregon this weekend.
- USC made the decision to add women's sand volleyball as a sport beginning in the spring of 2011. The decision was made pending approval of the sport by the NCAA. The team would be the 20th sport in the USC athletic department.
