For the first time this week, Coach Carroll discussed with his players the Trojans' next opponent, a Notre Dame team that's currently 4-1 but one that "could be 5-0 easily."
"This is a different Notre Dame than we've seen over the last few years," Carroll said during this afternoon's team meeting, during which he briefly introduced the Irish. "They have all kinds of energy, juice and excitement right now. It's not the 38-3 team we've seen -- it's a team that knows how to win.
"It's a helluva matchup and it's going to be a great game."
