Soaring high

The Jake Harfman show appears to be a hit.

USC's kickoff specialist assumed punting duties for last week's game, and the results are already providing marked improvement. On Saturday, Harfman averaged 46.3 yards per punt -- nine yards better than Billy O'Malley's average during the first three games of the season.

Harfman will continue handling the kickoff duties.
