The in-house attitude concerning Saturday's rivalry matchup at Notre Dame continues to be toned down as game week marches on.
"We don't feel it as much as people on the outside," Coach Carroll told the team this afternoon. "I haven't made a big deal about this game since our first year [in 2001, when the Trojans lost]. All the extra stuff has nothing to do with this game.
"Every game is important, every game is an awesome opportunity."
