Thoughts from Monday's practice, through the eyes of USCRipsIt...
- On a cool afternoon on Howard Jones Field, the Trojans churned through a quick helmets-only practice, one that acted as a review of plays from Saturday's win and an introduction of the game plan for this weekend's contest against Oregon State.
- The play of the day came when wideout Damian Williams ran an exceptional route to get open deep downfield, where he glided under an amazingly thrown bomb from Matt Barkley.
- On one bam-bam play in team period, defensive end Malik Jackson scooped up a fumbled snap before tailback Joe McKnight almost immediately popped it loose from his grasp. Offensive lineman Zack Heberer picked up the fumble, while McKnight bounded away chuckling with excitement.
- Fullback Stanley Havili, who dislocated his shoulder in Saturday's game, will have an MRI on Tuesday. His status for this weekend's game will be determined following a visit with the team doctors on Tuesday night, Coach Carroll said.
- After suffering a concussion Saturday, offensive lineman Alex Parsons sat out of Monday's workout to rest.
