As the Trojans take the field for this afternoon's practice, the USC offense is riding quite an impressive winning streak on Competition Tuesday.
The offense has a six-week unbeaten streak on the competition-themed day, capturing a victory or tie in the final team period every Tuesday since the second week of the season. Unless you count the tiebreaking Jethro Franklin slip-and-slide victory two weeks ago, the defense's last win on Competition Tuesday came on Sept. 8, when it took home a 13-11 win in the final team period.
Coach Carroll is making a big push for the defense to break that streak during this afternoon's full-pads workout on Howard Jones Field.
"Hey defense, it's about time to turn this around," Carroll said during the team meeting earlier today. "Are you going to answer the call?"
