The USC women's cross country team will kick off their season on Saturday (Sept. 2) at the Cal State Fullerton Jammin Invitational, being held at Carbon Canyon Park in Fullerton, Calif. The race is scheduled to begin at 9:15 a.m. with 14 different schools represented.
The Trojans have brought 13 new runners into the program, joining with the three returners from last year's team: seniors Kristen Berglas and Christina Eads, and junior Sara Fusco.
"Ashley Jensen and Kristen Berglas will sit this meet out and prepare for the Aztec Invitational on Sept. 16 in San Diego, Calif.," said USC cross country coach Tom Walsh. "This is a good chance for our freshman to see what they have. They will be thrown into the fire. We hope to finish in the top three, which would be very good considering our top two runners will not be competing."
