Women Of Troy 3rd At Pac-10 Championships

The USC women's golf team, led by senior Irene Cho, finished third at the 2006 Pac-10 Women's Golf Championship at Oro Valley C.C., in Tucson, Ariz., on Wednesday (April 26).

The Women of Troy had a combined 891 (+27, 293-302-296), 12 shots back of winner UCLA. Arizona State was second at 880, making up seven shots on the final day.

Cho finished fifth at 219 (+3) with a par-72 to lead USC. Upon completion of the tournament, Cho, who has won three events this season, was named 2006 Pac-10 Player of the Year.

Junior Veronica Felibert tied for 15th with a 226 (+10) while sophomores Paola Moreno and Dewi-Claire Schreefel and junior Catalina Marin tied for 19th at 227 (+11). Schreefel and Marin both shot 2-over 74s on Wednesday.
