The date of USC's 2006 football season opener at Arkansas will remain on Sept. 2, despite speculation that the date of the game might change.
At the request of ESPN and Arkansas, USC had explored the possibility of moving the game to Sept. 3, but decided not to make the change. USC informed ESPN and Arkansas of its decision last week.
