With the USC win:
- USC extends its overall win streak to 31, longest in the country and a school and Pac-10 record. USC has now won 25 consecutive home games (continuing a school record). Troy has also won 21 Pac-10 games in a row, a school record and one off the Pac-10 record of 22, held by Cal (1947-50). It is also the 18th Pac-10 home win in a row.
- The 31-game win streak is tied for eighth longest in Division I history.
- USC has won 42 of its last 43, 43 of its last 45, 45 of 48 and 49 of 53.
- USC improves to 59-4-2 in games when ranked No. 1 by AP.
- USC improves to 57-24-3 vs. Stanford.
- Pete Carroll improves to 51-9 as USC coach and remains undefeated in games in November (14-0)
LenDale White/Reggie Bush Notes
- Bush posted his sixth 100-yard rushing game of 2005 and ninth of his career.
- Bush passed 1,000 rushing yards on the season (first time of his career), marking the 24th time a Trojan runner has done so. White did it last year and needs just 87 yards to do it a second time.
- Bush's first-quarter 42-yard TD run gives him 37 TDs in 35 games and was the 20th rushing TD of his career. It was also his seventh play of at least 40 yards this season.
- White's first-quarter TD run gives him 42 career rushing TDs. His first-quarter TD reception was his first of 2005 and the fourth of his career. He has 46 career TDs, within range of Charles White's USC career TD record of 53.
- Either LenDale White or Reggie Bush has now scored a TD in 33 straight USC games. They have now scored TDs in the same game 16 times.
Matt Leinart Notes
- In the last three games, Leinart has completed 66-of-88 passes (75.0%) for 824 yards, 11 TDs and 1 interception.
- Leinart's completion percentage tonight (78.6% on 22-of-28 passing) is a season best.
- Leinart has thrown at least 3 TDs in 6 of 9 games in 2005.
- Leinart has now thrown at least one TD pass in 31 of 34 starts, at least two TD passes in 30 of 34 starts, three TDs 19 times and 4 TDs 10 times.
- With his 259 passing yards, Leinart now holds the Pac-10 record for career 200-yard passing games (32). He was previously tied with former teammate Carson Palmer.
- With his 4 TD passes, Leinart has 94 in his career (extending his Pac-10 record), passing Houston's David Klinger (1988-91) for eighth place on the NCAA Division I list. North Carolina State's Philip Rivers (2000-03) and Texas Tech's Kliff Klingsbury (1999-2002) are tied for sixth with 95.
- USC improves to 34-1 when Matt Leinart starts.
Dwayne Jarrett Notes
- Jarrett now has 14 TD receptions this season and 27 for his career. He has 27 TD receptions in 22 games and has caught at least one TD pass in 15 of 22 games and seven of nine in 2005. His 27 career TD catches are within striking distance of Mike Williams' USC career record (30). His 14 TD grabs are also within striking distance of Williams' season record (16).
- He surpassed the 100-yard receiving mark for the fourth time in five games (and had 96 yards against Washington in the game he didn't get 100) and for the eighth time of his career.
NOTES
- USC's 44 first-half points is the most Troy has scored in any half since the Trojans scored 49 in the second half against Notre Dame on Nov. 30, 1974.
- USC's 24 first-quarter points marked the fifth time in 2005 the Trojans scored 24 or more in a quarter.
- TE Fred Davis's second-quarter TD catch was the first of his career. He also finished with a career-best four catches. Brandon Hancock had his first rushing TD in the fourth quarter.
- USC has now scored at least 20 points in its last 48 games, continuing a school record, and in 50 of its past 51 games. USC has also scored at least 31 points in 37 of its last 43 games. USC has scored at least 40 points 29 times under Pete Carroll, including the last six home games
- USC has scored 50 points or more in three consecutive games for the first time since 1972 and has scored 50 or more points five times in one season for the first time in school history.
- USC's 51 points was its most ever against Stanford at home and most since scoring 54 on Nov. 8, 1952.
