With USC's win:
- USC extends its overall win streak to 30, longest in the country and a school and Pac-10 record. USC has now won 24 consecutive home games (continuing a school record). Troy has also won 20 Pac-10 games in a row, breaking the school record of 19 set in 1987-89. The Pac-10 record is 22, held by Cal (1947-50). It is also the 17th Pac-10 home win in a row.
- USC has won 41 of its last 42, 42 of its last 44, 44 of 47 and 48 of 52.
- USC improves to 58-4-2 in games when ranked No. 1 by AP.
- USC improves to 53-8-4 vs. Washington State.

LenDale White/Reggie Bush Notes
- LenDale White rushed for more than 100 yards for the fourth time this year and 12th time of his career with 155 yards on 20 carries. It's the third time this year he's rushed for 155 or more yards.
- White's two TD runs give him 41 career rushing TDs and 44 overall. He is within range of Charles White's USC career TD record of 53.
- Either LenDale White or Reggie Bush has now scored a TD in 32 straight USC games. Matt Leinart Notes
- Leinart's passing 364 yards are the third most of his career. He threw for 400 yards against Notre Dame in 2004 and for 381 against Arkansas earlier this year.
- Leinart has now thrown at least one TD pass in 30 of 33 starts, at least two TD passes in 29 of 33 starts, and three TDs 18 times.
- With his 364 yards, Leinart tied former teammate Carson Palmer's Pac-10 record for career 200-yard passing games (31).
- With his 3 TD passes, Leinart has 90 in his career, passing Tennessee's Peyton Manning (1994-97) and Marshall's Byron Leftwich (1998-2002) into ninth on the NCAA career list. Houston's David Klinger (1988-91) is eighth with 91. North Carolina State's Philip Rivers (2000-03) and Texas Tech's Kliff Klingsbury (1999-2002) are tied for sixth with 95.
- Leinart's 364 yards marked the sixth time in eight games he's thrown for at least 300 yards in 2005. He threw for 300 or more yards a combined five times in 2003 and 2004.
- USC improves to 33-1 when Matt Leinart starts.
Notes
- WR Dwayne Jarrett now has 13 TDs this season and 26 for his career. He has 26 TD receptions in 21 games and has caught at least one TD pass in 14 of 21 games. His 26 career TD catches are within striking distance of Mike Williams' USC career record (30). His 13 grabs are also within striking distance of Williams' season record (16).
- Jarrett's 200 receiving yards and 11 receptions are both career highs. His previous receiving yards best was 144 against Arizona in 2004. He surpassed the 100-yard receiving mark for the third time in four games (and had 96 yards against Washington last week). His previous reception high was nine earlier this year against Arizona.
- Jarrett's 200 receiving yards marked only the eighth time a Trojan has had at least 200 receiving yards in a game and he's tied for seventh with John Jackson. The last time a Trojan had at least 200 was Mike Williams's 226 at Oregon on Oct. 26, 2002. Jarrett is only the seventh Trojan to have 200 or more receiving yards (Keyshawn Johnson did it twice, both in bowl games).
- Steve Smith's two first-quarter TD receptions were his third and fourth of the season, third in the last two games and 11th and 12th of his career. The only other time Smith had more than one TD catch in a game was three in the Orange Bowl against Oklahoma in January.
- USC's crowd of 92,021 is the largest ever to see USC and Washington State play and the 11th time in the last 24 games USC has played before 85,000 or more fans. It was USC's fourth consecutive home game before a crowed of 90,000 or more.
- USC scored 41 consecutive points after WSU made the score 7-6, the eighth time USC's scored at least 20 in a row in 2005.
- USC's 28 points in the first quarter marked the third time its scored that many in a quarter this year. Troy scored that many in the third quarter at Hawaii and in the first against Arkansas.
- For the second game in a row, USC scored five touchdowns and a field goal in the first half (USC missed a PAT in the first half last week).
- USC has now scored at least 20 points in its last 47 games, continuing a school record, and in 49 of its past 50 games. USC has also scored at least 30 points in 36 of its last 42 games. USC has scored at least 40 points 28 times under Pete Carroll.
- Washington State's Jerome Harrison became just the third running back to rush for more than 100 yards against USC in the past 42 games. The others were Cal's Adimchinobe Echemandu (147) in 2003 and fellow Cal Bear J.J. Arrington (112) in 2004. Harrison's 147 yards were the most against USC since Echemandu's total.
- USC's 55 points is its most against WSU since a 70-33 win in 1970.
- WSU was held without a touchdown pass today snapping a streak of 27 consecutive games with a scoring pass and it was only the third time in their last 57 games that the Cougars did not have a touchdown toss. WSU also had completed a scoring throw in 28 consecutive games at the opponent's field or in a bowl game before today.
- The Trojans had a season-high 745 total yards, the third time this season they have gone over 700 total yards in a game (736 vs. Arkansas on Sept. 17 and 724 vs. Arizona on Oct. 8).
- WSU was held to a season-low 284 total yards. The Cougars came into the game averaging 518.57 yards of total offense per game this season, ranking third in the country. WSU's lowest offensive total this season prior to today had been 407 yards against Stanford on Oct. 8.
- WSU scored a season-low 13 points. The previous low was 21 against Stanford.
- WSU's four previous losses were by a combined 21 points.
WSU Game Notes
- Jerome Harrison's first-quarter 13-yard touchdown run was his 12th this season, tied for 3rd all-time, and was the 21st rushing touchdown of his career, 4th all-time.
- Jason Hill has caught at least one pass in each of his last 18 games played.
- WSU's six points in the first half was its lowest first-half output since being held scoreless against USC last season (10/30/04).
- With his 147 yards today, Jerome Harrison now has rushed for 1,310 (entered game with 1163) this season, third on the WSU single-season list...Harrison also moved into 6th place on the career list with 2,210 yards (entered game with 2063 yards).
