Connealy Leads Trojans At Pacific Invite

Connealy, who helped USC's women's squad score a meet-best 796 points, won the 100y free in 51.91 and touched second in the 500y free (4:58.01). She also raced in a pair of winning relays.
The quartet of freshman Melissa McIntyre, Connealy and freshmen Lahey and Sarah Rockwell won the 200y free relay (1:36.34) while freshman Rachael Waller, Connealy, sophomore Emily Goetsch and Rockwell won the 800y free relay (7:29.70).
Lahey won both the 100y back (56.95) and the 100y fly (56.80), edging Connealy (56.85). Freshman Rebecca Soni won her second event, winning the 200y breast with ease (2:14.76) in an NCAA consideration time and close to an NCAA automatic.
Rockwell was second in the 200y IM (2:04.30), Goetsch was second in the 200y fly (2:02.90) and Waller was third in the 500y free (4:58.77).
Among the men, senior Ous Mellouli won his third and fourth races of the meet, taking the 500y free (4:29.46) and the 200y breast (2:03.03). Sophomore Viktor Bodrogi won the 200y fly (1:48.30) and was second in the 200y IM (1:51.07).
