USC's top-ranked football team had a surprise visitor at its team meeting and practice Wednesday afternoon (Oct. 26) when famed film director Spike Lee dropped by Heritage Hall.
The director of such movies as Do The Right Thing and Mo' Better Blues spoke to the team for about 10 minutes and then watched some of practice at Howard Jones Field. He told the squad he grew up in Brooklyn, N.Y., as a Trojan fan and wished the team luck for the remainder of the season.
The No. 1 Trojans (7-0) host Pac-10 rival Washington State on Saturday (Oct. 29) at 12:30 p.m.
