With the USC win:
- USC extends its overall win streak to 28, longest in the country and a school and Pac-10 record. USC has won 15 consecutive non-conference games, a school-record 13 road games in a row (breaking the former record of 12 set between 1978-80) and five non-conference road games in a row.
- USC extends its school-record win streak over AP Top 25 teams to 14.
- USC has won 39 of its last 40, 40 of its last 42, 42 of 45 and 46 of 50.
- USC improves to 55-4-2 in games when ranked No. 1 by AP.
- USC improves to 30-42-5 vs. Notre Dame.
- Pete Carroll improves to 48-9 as USC coach.
Reggie Bush/LenDale White Notes
- Bush's three rushing TDs are a career high and mark the third time he's had at least two this year and the fifth time of his career he's had at least two.
- Bush is now in 12th place on USC's career rushing list with 2,190.
- Either LenDale White or Reggie Bush has now scored a TD in 30 straight USC games and they have now both scored TDs in a game 15 times.
- Bush's 160 rushing yards mark the fifth game in a row he's rushed for 100 or more yards, the most since Ricky Ervins had five in a row in 1989.
- With his one rushing TD, White now has 39 rushing TDs in 32 games and 42 TDs on his career (includes 3 TD receptions). He is within range of USC's career record for TDs, held by Charles White (53).
NOTES
- USC has now trailed at the half six times during the 28-game win streak.
- Dominique Byrd's 52-yard first-quarter catch was the second longest of his career. He had a 55-yard reception against Arizona State in 2003.
- Keith Rivers' first-quarter interception was his first of 2005, second of his career. His third-quarter fumble recovery was USC's third of the season.
- Matt Leinart's two interceptions are his most since throwing two in 2003 against Oregon State. He's thrown three interceptions twice.
- Tom Zbikowski's second-quarter punt return for a TD was the second one USC has allowed this year (the first was at ASU).
- Notre Dame's 31 points is the most points USC has given up since its last loss, at Cal, 34-31, in three OT, on Sept. 27, 2003.
- USC finished with 476 total yards. Its previous low this year was 518 at Hawaii in the season opener.
- USC has now scored at least 20 points in its last 45 games, continuing a school record, and in 47 of its past 48 games. USC has also scored at least 30 points in 34 of its last 40.
- USC improves to 31-1 when Matt Leinart starts.
- Matt Leinart failed to throw a TD pass for only the third time in his 32 career starts. The last time was at ASU earlier this season.
