Jesse Williams Earns All-American Honors In High Jump

Fayetteville, Ark. - USC sophomore Jesse Williams cleared 7-1 1/2 on Saturday to place seventh in the high jump at the 2004 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships held at the Randal Tyson Track Center.
Williams, who transferred to USC from North Carolina State this past fall, earned the 36th All-American honor for the Trojans in the high jump and the third of his career (he was second at the NCAA indoor meet last season and seventh outdoors).
The 6-0, 155-pound Williams has a career-best of 7-4 1/4. This season he has jumped 7-2 1/4, which puts him third on the all-time USC high jump chart.
USC hosts the Trojan Invitational this Saturday, its lone home meet of the season.
