Brooke Thomas Finishes Third At San Diego State Invitational

San Diego, Calif. - Senior Brooke Thomas ran the 5K in 18:18 to finish third overall Saturday and lead the USC women's cross country team to fifth place at the San Diego State Invitational held at Balboa Park.
Thomas was joined in the top 20 by sophomore Kate Neeper, who ran 19:16 to finish 20th.
USC totaled 148 points to team champion Northern Arizona's 55. UCLA was second (81), while Southern Utah was third (106) and UCI was fourth (131).
USC is next in action at the UC Riverside Invitational on Sept. 20.
