Women's Cross Country Takes Third At CS Fullerton Invitational

Brea, Cali. - The USC women's cross country team scored 118 points to finish third on Saturday at the CS Fullerton "Season Opener" Invitational held at Carbon Canyon Regional Park.
USC was just one point behind the club team 'A Snail's Pace', which scored 117. CS Fullerton finished on top with 90 points, while Concordia was fourth with 146 points.
Sophomore Kate Neeper led the Women of Troy, running the 5,000-meter course in 19:06.20 to finish 16th. Junior Harlye Maya was 22nd in 19:20.20, while sophomore Laura Strachan was 26th (19:31.70) and freshman Kristen Berglas was 27th (19:32.00).
USC is next in action on Saturday (Sept. 6) at the UC Irvine Invitational.
