Six USC Swimmers Set For World Championships

Six current, former, and incoming USC swimmers will be among the competitors at the 2001 World Championships in Fukuoka, Japan, at the Marine Messe Venue from July 22-29.
The three current Trojans competing are Americans Klete Keller (200-meter freestyle and 800 free relay) and Erik Vendt (400-meter IM) and Brazilian freestyler Rodrigo Castro.
One of USC's all-time greats, Lindsay Benko, will swim in the 100, 200 and 400-meter freestyles as well as the 800 free relay. Another incoming freshman has five events ahead of her.
2001 All-American Ryosuke Imai, a native of Japan, rounds out the Trojan contingent. He will swim the breaststroke.
