Freshman Lisa Rotsel won the 5,000-meter run in a time of 18:20.00 to lead the USC women's cross country team to a win at the Long Beach Invitational held at El Dorado Park in Long Beach, Calif., on Saturday (Oct. 6).
The Women of Troy scored 55 points to edge second place Cal Coast's 57. The six team field also saw Long Beach State finish third (84), Pacific West Track Club fourth (89), Long Beach Alumni fifth (99) and San Diego State sixth (119).
Also for USC, senior Sinfo Orosco was fourth (18:38.50), while freshman Heather Hennessy was 15th (19:18.80).
