USC Takes Fifth Place At Waikoloa Intercollegiate

Waikoloa, HI - Senior Nick Webb shot 216 to lead the No. 15-ranked USC men's golf team to a fifth place finish at the Taylor Made/Waikoloa Intercollegiate hosted by the University of Hawaii-Hilo at the King Beach Golf Club in Waikoloa, Haw., this past weekend (Feb. 17-19).
USC shot 875, 19 strokes over par. Georgia Tech finished first (855), followed by Arizona State (863), Fresno State (864) and Texas Christian (871).
For the Trojans, Webb finished in 12th place (two over par), while sophomore Kevin Stadler shot 219 (five over par) and tied for 19th. Junior Nick Jones shot 224 (10 over par), sophomore John Ray Leary shot 225 (11 over par) and freshman David Oh shot 227 (13 over par) to finish tied for 48th, 53rd and 65th, respectively.
Bryce Molder and Matt Kuchar, both of Georgia Tech, tied for the individual title with a six-under-par 208. Arizona State's Paul Casey finished third (211).
USC next competes on Feb. 28-29, when it hosts the Cleveland Golf Southwestern Intercollegiate at North Ranch Country Club in Westlake, Calif.
