LOS ANGELES -- Men's swimmers Erik Vendt of Boston College High in Boston, Mass., and Jeff Lee of Munster (Ind). High, and women's swimmers Shannon Cullen of Redlands (Calif.) High, Michala Kwasny of R. Nelson Snider High in Fort Wayne, Ind., and Jamie Cail of Marinia High in Huntington Beach, Calif., signed letters of intent with USC, head coach Mark Schubert announced today.

Erik Vendt, distance freestyle, Northeaston, Mass. 1998 U.S. national champion in 400m (3:51.23) and 1500m (15:10.50, the fastest by an American since 1992)
1998 Goodwill Games silver medalist in the 400m free and a bronze medalist in the 800m free
Qualifier for 1999 Pan Pacific Games in 400m and 1500m free 1998 National Distance Camp participant 1998-99 U.S. National A Team in 400m, 1500m free, 400m IM U.S. All-American in 400m, 800m, 1500m free
