All-Pac-10 Football Team Announced

LOS ANGELES--USC junior linebacker Chris Claiborne was named the Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year today and he was joined on the All-Pac-10 first team by four of his Trojan teammates: senior cornerback Daylon McCutcheon, senior safety Rashard Cook, junior offensive guard Travis Claridge and sophomore defensive tackle Ennis Davis. Claiborne, who is a finalist for the Butkus Award and a consensus All-American, was also named today the Football News National Defensive Player of the Year.
Making the All-Pac-10 second team were junior wide receiver R. Jay Soward, sophomore cornerback Antuan Simmons and sophomore defensive end Sultan Abdul-Malik. Tailback Chad Morton and linebacker David Gibson, both juniors, made All-Pac-10 honorable mention.
