Soward Earns Compaq Play of the Week

LOS ANGELES - R. Jay Soward's thrilling 85-yard punt return for a touchdown against Oregon State was named the "Compaq College Football Play of the Week", judged by a panel of sportswriters and sportscasters.

In addition, Zeke Moreno's interception and 71-yard runback for a score was named the week's "Best Interception."
